Our stay at the Sunset Hotel was also very good. The staff were very professional, helpful, and supportive during our three-night stay. Akeshy, Ali, and the cleaning staff were especially professional and kind. I would give five stars for the excellent service we received at the Sunset.
The hotel exceeded expectations. Airport Shuttle picked our group up promptly. Rooms were very clean, and the king-sized bed was very comfortable. Breakfast area was clean. Front Desk goes above and beyond and was very helpful when I made a special request. There's also a great restaurant across the Inn. The surrounding area is serene, with a waterfront green park across the street.
I was travelling for work and had a layover in Sioux Lookout. My first flight took longer than expected and I missed my second flight. The airline covered my stay at this hotel. That being said, it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were nice and clean, and we were very close to a restaurant. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast area was clean and what you'd expect from a continental breakfast. The sausages were pretty good. The next morning I guess their shuttle was dropping off other people, so the woman at the counter ended up driving me herself to make sure I didn't miss my flight. Thank you!
Rooms look like they were recently renovated. Nice and clean rooms and Jennifer at front desk was a pleasure to deal with. She made sure we had everything we needed and made the experience a pleasure. Not far from town pretty convenient place. Highly recommend this motel! The only downside at the moment is you have to be able to climb a set of stairs to get to the rooms.

Akshay was so incredibly accommodating and nice! Very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend this place. I think the price for the room is a little high, but it seems to be the case for most of Sioux Lookout
This is a beautiful hotel! Very clean, well appointed, the employees are super friendly, and they also offer a good free breakfast (pancakes, eggs, sausages, muffins, yogurt, toast, cereal, oatmeal)...and it starts at 6am!! Also, I forgot my favorite running outfit and they couriered it to me, free of charge!! I will definitely return here!! Also there's a nice quiet running/walking trail right across the road that borders the beautiful lake.
Services are great. Employees are friendly, especially Bhavini went out of her way to help me solve problems. I really appreciated their services. The room is clean.
Highly recommended. Safe place. Police patrolling noted. sustainability approach. Room cleaning every 3 days. Towels change every day. Some minor noises above the room at times. Restaurant near by the hotel. Hotel breakfast same every day. Attentive customer service. Suggestion to management: recycling more.
